One of the advantages of this appliance was that it gave an opportunity to control the brew as compared with the simple pans and kettles. But still the result of brewing wasn’t perfect; quality of the brew was not exact. Mostly all the percolators were created from metal and due to it they were of a good quality and rarely broke. After some time there appeared electrical models but sometimes they had some problems with the heating elements.

The next stage is the creation of the automatic drip coffee maker. It was created in the beginning of the 1970s. This type is considered to be one of the most popular nowadays.
